The Yule Log is an ancient tradition originating in Northern Europe as a folk celebration during the winter solstice and has been adapted as a Christmas tradition. Join us on-line for an evening of crafting as you create-your-own holiday yule log, WITH THE OPTION to add on catered solstice-themed appetizers and beverage mixers prepared by Riversong Gourmet. During the workshop, we will discuss the origins, significance and tradition of the yule log and offer ideas to start your own solstice tradition. You can use your yule log as a centerpiece and/or celebrate the winter solstice in a traditional way by burning on the solstice.

Prior to the workshop, you will receive a kit with your yule log materials kit along with prepared appetizers and two cocktail/mocktail fixings. The materials include a pre-cut and drilled ~16” larch wood log; fresh holly, mistletoe and evergreen boughs; pine cones; cinnamon sticks; orange slices; ribbon; and three hand-dipped taper candles.

The cost of the yule log workshop and materials is $50 with the option to add on solstice-themed appetizers and cocktails/mocktail mixers for additional $25. A web-based interactive zoom link will be provided to you upon payment. Sign up today!

Important: Participants must be available to pick up workshop materials/catered food and drink items day of the workshop (12/19). Items can be obtained in Missoula at 3 PM or the Farm at 4 PM. Alternate arrangements can be made if necessary. You will need to provide your own glue gun, glue sticks and scissors.
