The Yule Log is an ancient tradition originating in Northern Europe as a folk celebration during the winter solstice and has been adapted as a Christmas tradition. Join us for an evening of crafting and discussion as you create-your-own holiday yule log. We will discuss the origins, significance and tradition of the yule log and offer ideas to start your own solstice tradition. At the end of the night, you will take home a 16" yule log to use as a centerpiece and/or celebrate the winter solstice in a traditional way by burning on the solstice. We will provide all materials including pre-cut and drilled larch wood; fresh holly, mistletoe and evergreen boughs; pine cones; cinnamon sticks; ribbon; and three hand-dipped taper candles.
The cost of the workshop and take home yule log is $50.
Registration is required prior to Dec 18th using the form below.
